Waipa Networks Business Awards 2011

Congratulations to all entrants and winners in the 2011 Awards.

The spectacular Awards Evening was held on Friday 8 July at the Don Rowlands Centre, Karapiro, to an audience of over 350 guests (the largest Awards Evening so far!).

Congratulations to the Supreme Winner, Business of the Year 2011, Capelli Hair Studio.

This Cambridge business owned by Jeanette and Gary Cork scooped up awards for Excellence in Business (winner), Excellence in Marketing (commendation), Customer Choice (Commendation), Customer Service (Commendation), and of course the top award: 2011 Waipa Networks Business Awards Supreme Winner.

The proud owners collected a $1000 cheque and the Supreme Winners trophy. The judges of the Excellence in Business Award said about Capelli Hair Studio: "Clearly a business with a sense of direction and vision. There appears to be a desire for the business to be at the forefront of the industry with a sustained focus on innovation to find ways to remain distinctive."

Entries now closed – Entries for 2012 will open in March 2012.

The Waipa Networks Business Awards are unique to Waipa. They comprise three sets of awards:

Business Excellence (businesses must nominate and enter themselves and be judged against a set of criteria by independent judges)
Customer Service Awards (Chamber members and all those who request to be included are mystery shopped throughout the year against customer service criteria)
Customer Choice Awards (businesses are nominated and voted by members of the public during a one month voting period).

Business Excellence Awards run regionally throughout the country and are a great opportunity for all businesses to receive recognition for their achievements and celebrate their contribution to our business environment and community.

The Te Awamutu and Cambridge Chambers of Commerce jointly convene these Awards within the Waipa district. We are once again, grateful to Waipa Networks, for their ongoing support as chief sponsor for the Waipa Awards.

We're justifiably proud of these awards and regard them as a valuable business development tool. We are fortunate to have The University of Waikato as partner and sponsor for these awards, completing all judging of the excellence categories. The University of Waikato Management School provide judging feedback to all entrants as part of the process.
