  • An organisation that is part of a larger national or international organisation must be able to demonstrate that it operates as a separate business unit.
  • Applicants must disclose any issues that may compromise the integrity of the awards or cause their organisation to discontinue in the next year. These issues may include legal action, law changes, possible loss of funding, or other risks.
  • All entrants must agree to take part in publicity that has been organised by the Te Awamutu or Cambridge Chambers of Commerce and as requested by the category sponsor.
  • All entrants agree to a possible visit by judges.
  • Entrants must provide a signed statement from their accountant confirming the financial viability and going concern status of the business. A standard pro-forma is attached (see following page or separate document).
  • All entrants are encouraged to attend the 2011 Waipa Networks Business Awards Evening, to be held on 8th July 2011. This is a formal event during which the awards ceremony is held and the finalists and winners are announced.
  • Entrants are only permitted to enter two Excellence categories (finalists are automatically considered for the overall award, 2011 Waipa Business Awards Business of the Year.) All Chamber members will automatically be entered in the Customer Service category unless advised not to.
  • Entrants may use consultants or other outside assistance to help them prepare their entries.
  • The organisers may, where appropriate, suggest that an entrant change or add to the particular categories entered.
  • All entries are treated in confidence. Judges are required to sign a confidentiality agreement that prevents them from sharing any information in relation to entrants.
  • Judges will not judge any organisations where a conflict of interest arises.
  • Following the award ceremony, entry submissions will be returned.
  • Decisions of the judges are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
