Mystery Creek Events Centre  is the Event Partner for the 2017 Awards Gala Dinner.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO THE AWARDS EVENING?

Dress to the nines! The Awards Evening is an opportunity to dress up. It's a formal event  - evening dresses for the ladies and suits for the men (or go on, rock a tuxedo!)

HOW CAN I WIN FREE TRAVEL WITH AIR NEW ZEALAND?

Our sponsor, Air New Zealand has given us two travel vouchers worth $500 to give away to two lucky people!

Buy one or more EARLYBIRD tickets or tables to go into the draw to win. 

The winner will be drawn at random and announced at the Awards Gala on 18 August 2017.

The winner must be present at the event to claim the prize.

Air New Zealand Terms Conditions

$500  Air New Zealand credit, travelling anywhere on our domestic network on Air New Zealand. (this is only applicable for domestic flights).

Travel is limited to Air New Zealand operated flights (086) and must be booked, ticketed and travelled before the 30th June 2018.

All airport taxes & government charges are at the travellers expenses.

Destinations include all domestic New Zealand.

Travel is capped at T Fare class offering (TBAG Seat + bag) and is non transferable for cash.

Seats are limited and are strictly subject to availability, especially over holidays periods when black out travel periods may apply.

WHEN DO I FIND OUT IF I WON OR NOT?

The finalists will be announced before the Awards Evening during the week of 31 July 2017. All winners are announced at the Awards Evening at Mystery Creek on Friday 18 August 2017.

Entering the Awards provides you with valuable insight into your business and the chance to network with other successful business people. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO ENTER?

How long it takes you does depend on how easy it is for you to gather the information you need, but the best entries are clear and precise. While a well presented submission is expected within the online entry form, therefore expensive printing and binding, nor novelty presentation of entries is sought. The process of entering is usually helpful for your business so time is well invested.

HOW DO I ENTER?

Entering is easy. Complete the online entry form, upload your application and it will be sent to us electronically. PLEASE NOTE: THE PREFERRED BROWSER FOR COMPLETING ENTRIES IS GOOGLE CHROME

IS THERE SOME-ONE WHO CAN HELP ME?

The Cambridge, Raglan and Te Awamutu Chambers of Commerce will be facilitating one on one sessions with an Awards advisor - contact awards@waipabusinessawards.co.nz

DOES IT COST ME TO ENTER?

There is a an small entry fee for the Business Excellence categories. Please see the Entry Guidelines for details.

The Customer Service, Customer Choice, Employee of the Year and Emerging Leader categories are free to enter.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I’M ELIGIBLE TO ENTER?

Any sole proprietor, partnership, incorporated society, Limited Liability Company, educational institution, local or central government organisation, charitable or not for profit organisation, with its principal place of business based and trading in the Waipa District or within the greater boundaries administered by the Cambridge, Raglan or Te Awamutu Chambers of Commerce is eligible to enter the awards.

An organisation that is part of a larger national or international organisation must be able to demonstrate that it operates as a separate business unit.

Excluded are those businesses or organisations owned by officers or employees of the category sponsor.

Entrants in the Emerging Business category must have been in operation for less than two years as at 31 March 2016.

DO I HAVE TO INCLUDE MY BUSINESSES FINANCIAL DETAILS?

If entering the Business Excellence categories you must supply a Letter of Financial Viability from your external business accountant. A Pro-Forma is included with the entry form.

HOW DO I KNOW THAT THE INFORMATION I PROVIDE WON’T GET INTO THE HANDS OF MY COMPETITORS OR OTHERS?

The entries are only seen by the co-ordinator of the Awards and the judging panel. All of the people in these roles are ethical professionals and have also signed a confidentiality agreement.

HOW MANY CATEGORIES CAN I ENTER?

You may enter one Business Excellence category in addition to the Customer Service, Customer Choice, Employee of the Year and Emerging Leader categories. Judges have the right to change entrants into whichever category they consider better suited to the entrant. Entrants will be consulted prior to any change.

CAN I RE-ENTER IF I WAS A WINNER LAST YEAR?

Absolutely, you are welcome to re-enter the awards. However Supreme Winners are not eligible for the Supreme Award in the year immediately following their win.
