The Awards season is upon us and newly appointed Steve Tritt will become a familiar face for entrants and sponsors alike as he takes on his role as Awards Ambassador for 2021.
The Awards Ambassador was a new role created in 2018, with Kerry Saberton from Jigsaw Professional Development, and Grant Johnson from Rocketspark taking the helm in 2019. Steve Tritt is the Business Development Manager for the Waipa District Council and has been involved in the Waipa Business Awards for a number of years as one of the Head Judges.
“Meeting with business owners is the part of my role I enjoy the most. It’s business that grows the wealth of the district. I’ve been privileged to judge both the Waipa Network Business awards over the years. We put the work up front but seeing business leaders and their staff celebrating together at the awards night is a special thing. Then the marketing begins as companies leverage their success.” Steve mentioned of his time working alongside the Waipa Business Awards.
Steve will represent the Awards at key networking events and is excited to be involved. The aim of his involvement in the Awards this year is to add real value for entrants, as his advice and support comes from the voice of experience.
“Judges like to see an honest and complete entry. Provide the detail relevant to the particular award category. Highlight innovative approaches in your business and how you make a positive impact in your communities. Outline your potential for future development, growth and sustainability. It’s an opportunity to look at your business from a different perspective and compare yourself to your competitors. This will help you think about doing things better and identifying areas for improvement and growth. If you are a finalist then there is public endorsement for your business. A win is a sign of quality for potential customers and can form part of your sales pitch. Success at business awards are part of your marketing toolbox.” Steve Tritt, Business Development Manager - Waipa District Council
The Waipa Networks Business Awards is now open with entries closing on 10 March 2021 and the prestigious Awards evening to take place at Mystery Creek Events Centre on Friday 16 April.
